Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń to launch Technical Sciences Center

In 2021, the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń will begin the construction of the Technical Sciences Center. The center will be a modern base for technical studies at the faculties of physics, astronomy and applied computer science.

– Currently, thanks to the kindness of the city authorities, we are using a small building outside the campus. Now we will have completely new opportunities for the development of these studies at our university – says the dean of the faculty, Prof. Włodzimierz Jaskólski.

Two buildings with a total area of ​​2 thousand sq. m, will be built on the western edge of the university campus in Bielany, between Szosa Okrezna and the “Uniwersytet” tram terminus. The university is currently looking for a designer, and construction work will begin early next year. The total cost of the investment is over PLN 22 million. Construction will be financed from the state budget.
