The Resocialization Section of the faculty of pedagogical science at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is among the winners of the call of the Ministry of Justice devoted to counteracting the causes of crime. The prize is a grant for the project “On the way to Song of Songs”.

The goal of the project is to prevent people from entering the crime scene and to present an alternative to functioning in a conflict with the law. The undertaking assumes preventive meetings with the God’s Band of Former Bandits for minors threatened with demoralization; music workshops for endangered and socially maladjusted youth; Christian concerts and a group created by juvenile volunteers of the Toruń Song of Songs Festival.

As part of the project, the brochure called “Forgiveness” was published. It shows the stories of women convicted of crimes against life and health. The conference on counteracting crime will be the summary of the whole event.
