Nobel lecture at the conference on nanophotonics at the Wrocław University of Technology

29.06.2018

Nobel Prize winner – prof. William E. Moerner will give a lecture at the 11th International Conference on Nanophotonics ICNP2018. The beginning of the lecture is planned on July 2 at 9.00 in the building D-20 Wrocław University of Technology.

The lecture “Nanophotonics Based on Individual Molecules and Light Gives Rise to 3D Super-Resolution Imaging and Beyond” will inaugurate the ICNP conference which will take place from 2 to 6 July at the Wrocław University of Technology. ICNP2018 will discuss the latest developments, ideas and solutions in the field of optics and photonics on the nano and micro scale.

Professor William E. Moerner works at Stanford University. He deals with the spectroscopy of single molecules, tracking their motion and trapping them. He is one of the pioneers of the super-resolution microscopy which brought him together with Eric Betzig and Stephan Hell the 2014 Nobel Prize in chemistry.
