The Medical University of Gdańsk with the University of Gdańsk and the Medical Innovation Center plan to become the regional coordination center for the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) as part of the EIT Health Hub program.

The EIT Health Hub program supports innovation in healthy living and active aging. Gdańsk universities offer their support to startups (operating in the field of life science) as part of InnoStars Award acceleration programs (for beginner startups having a ready-made prototype) and European Health Catapult (for startups and small enterprises with a product ready to the successful production).
