Representation of the Wrocław Academy of Land Forces participated in the prestigious SANDHURST combat contest. In the competition at the famous West Point Academy, Polish cadets took 18th place out of 64 teams from around the world – informs the Academy.
The competition was held in varied, difficult terrain. Among the assessed tasks were shooting, tactical competitions and tasks requiring physical effort – running, moving tires, boxes with ammunition, canisters and manikins simulating the injured.
Participants of the competition also had to overcome the lake on the landing craft, go through the tactical obstacle course, perform an ambush and conduct a night reconnaissance. Each team consisted of 11 soldiers, including one woman and two reserve soldiers. The jury assessed the endurance, precision, speed, commanding skills and behavior of the entire team.
