The Laboratory Centre for Rocket and Satellite Propulsion Systems was opened at the Łukasiewicz – Aviation Institute in Warsaw. The grand opening was attended by more than 100 decision-makers from the space industry, administration and military from Poland, Europe and the USA.

Interest in the R&D and test capabilities at Łukasiewicz – Aviation Institute was confirmed by a number of European integrators – including ArianeGroup, Nammo, Airbus Space & Defence, Thales Alenia Space, The Exploration Company or OHB.

The aim of the Rocket and Satellite Propulsion Laboratory Centre is to develop, qualify and test the latest technologies related to rocket propulsion, satellites and other aspects of space technology.

The expansion of the laboratory facilities of the Łukasiewicz – Aviation Institute is an important step for our Institute, the Łukasiewicz Research Network and the space industry. “Poland has become one of the few places in Europe where it is possible to comprehensively carry out tests and research projects in the field of space technologies in one place”, said Dr. Paweł Stężycki, Director of Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation.
