Opole University of Technology is planning to build two science centres to house a total of a dozen innovative laboratories. The Centre for Industrial Metrology and the Modern ITmatics Centre are to be built on the university’s first campus.

The Centre for Industrial Metrology will integrate all of our laboratories in the area of metrology and those created as part of the Advanced Light Technology Design Centre. The entire facility will be retrofitted with further state-of-the-art equipment, which will enrich the offer for businesses. The Modern ITmatics Centre will house a large computing server, which will support research work as well as work commissioned by entrepreneurs.

The cost of the investment – including equipment – is PLN 65 million. As this is a considerable amount, the university is trying to obtain external funding. The Marshall’s Office of the Opole Voivodship is assisting in this project.
