The organizer of the symposium “Nitrate Directive in Poland and what next ..?” was the Department of Biosystem Engineering of the Faculty of Production Engineering and Logistics at the Opole University of Technology, University of Life Sciences in Poznań and Research and Development Center in Twardawa.

The Nitrates Directive is a European Union document recommending the reduction of water pollution by nitrates from agricultural activities. Conference participants discussed ways to maintain high yields without a large amount of nitrogen in fertilizers and costs associated with plant protection. Thanks to the participation of guests from countries where EU rules have been applied for years, Polish experts had the opportunity to learn many interesting solutions.
