The Opole University of Technology will cooperate with Baumar – one of the leading entities in the reinforced concrete construction industry. The cooperation agreement was signed by the rector of the university, Prof. Marcin Lorenc and the company’s president, Marcin Szemainda.

– This cooperation covers several areas. The first assumption is, of course, the possibility of apprenticeships for students, the second one is the use of laboratories, and the third idea is the search for new technologies, their improvement and thus the development of construction – says Prof. Lorenc.

Baumar is an industry leading company dealing in reinforced concrete structures. It specializes in building commercial and residential buildings as well as production halls. The company promises to make its resources available for teaching purposes – including training of students and academic staff. An important element of the contract is also joint work on new technologies for the construction industry.
