Six Industry Skills Centres (BCU) will be established in the Opolskie Voivodeship. Over PLN 70 million for their creation was provided by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN). Logistics, inland shipping and inland fishing, industrial insulation, finishing work, the automotive industry and shipping are the fields in which modern facilities will educate staff to meet the needs of the labour market.
Symbolic cheques for the establishment of BCUs in the Opole Province were handed over by the head of the MEiN, Przemysław Czarnek. ‘Industry Skills Centres are modern vocational education centres created on the basis of a vocational school in agreement with the leading authority, but also in agreement with a vocational college and, in particular, with a specific industry’, he said.
‘The creation of BCUs is the next stage of vocational education reform. The centres will be high-tech education, training and examination centres. They will be able to be used by pupils, students, teachers, lecturers and industry workers’, reports the Ministry of Education.
