The University of Bielsko-Biala (UBB) has won more than PLN 9 million for the project ‘Competences for key industries – development of competences of UBB students and employees’. The aim of the project, which will be implemented between 2024 and 2029, is to support education in key industries for the development of the economy while taking into account the needs of green and digital transformation.

The project encompasses three education faculties: transport, environmental engineering and construction, which will be modified to enable students to acquire new competences and qualifications with support focused on improving the competences of teaching staff.

A parallel expansion and modernisation of the laboratory base is planned, including laboratories for intelligent transport systems, traffic engineering and monitoring, logistics techniques, simulation techniques, renewable energy and a computer laboratory for the specialisation in zero-emission construction.
