The Department of Cultural Linguistics and Social Communication of the Institute of Polish Philology of the Pedagogical University of Krakow is inviting participants to the 4th National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference “(R) evolution of language and communication in contemporary media in the age of a pandemic”, which will be held online on March 18-19 2021.

Following the previous three conferences, the aim of the event is to create a platform for a substantive discussion of researchers in linguistics, cultural studies, media studies, as well as for journalists, political scientists, sociologists and anthropologists.

The conference will include the following topics: Language and communication in the media in the light of different research perspectives; Faces of the pandemic in contemporary media; Mediatization of politics and politicization of the media; Media as social practices. Usage and media competences; New communication: social media, blogosphere, Facebook, Twitter; Public relations and their linguistic manifestations in the media space.
