The Pedagogical University (UP) in Krakow organizes on March 28-29, 2019, the 3rd National Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference “Language and Media. Perspectives and threats to language and communication in contemporary media”.

The aim of the conference is to create a platform for the substantive discussion of researchers in the field of linguistics, cultural studies, media studies, as well as journalists, political scientists, sociologists, and anthropologists. – The organizers are interested in a broad research approach to language and communication in the media and analysis of all their manifestations; both theoretical-methodological considerations and material analyzes of specific cases.

The participants of the event will discuss e.g. Contemporary areas of media discourse, Barriers and threats to language and communication in contemporary media, Mediatization of politics and media policy and Polish on the Internet – Phrase in new media.
