The Łódź University of Technology hosted the inauguration of another initiative of the Perspektywy Educational Foundation – “Girls to Science”. This will be a series of meetings at which women from various research centres will talk about their experiences in scientific work.

The meetings are intended to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. Female scientists are planning a series of meetings with female researchers from Poland and from different continents who are jointly conducting interesting scientific projects. 

The organisers also want to create regional Women Scientists Clubs to act as ‘support groups’ both in science and in life.

The ‘Women in Science’ report published by UNESCO shows that in Poland, as in many European countries, women account for 60 % of all undergraduates. They also dominate among doctoral students, but are already a minority among academics.
