A PhD student from the Cancer Immunology group at the International Cancer Vaccine Research Center of the University of Gdańsk (MCBSP), received funding from the ExCELLent Grant Program established by the Polish Stem Cell Bank.
A young researcher Ines Papak, pursuing a doctorate on the biology of NK cells and their therapeutic application in anti-cancer cell therapy, took 4th place in a competitive program targeted at young scientists. Thus, she received a financial award to be used to participate in a conference or training of her choice.
“I am very excited about this award, I perceive it as an appreciation of the research work done so far. My current subject of research is the preclinical model of lung cancer immunotherapy, which is a broad and rapidly developing field in which continuous learning and improvement of skills is a necessity”, says the laureate.
