Maria Stefaniak from the Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University of Technology (PW) received the Renate W. Chasman 2021 Award. The prize is awarded to female researchers working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The award is intended to encourage further development and to remind about the scientific achievements of Renate Chasman (1932-1977) – a physicist who had a huge impact on the development of the physics of particle accelerators. The Chasman Award is granted by Brookhaven Women in Science (BWIS).
Maria Stefaniak is a graduate of engineering and master’s studies at the Faculty of Physics of the Warsaw University of Technology. She is pursuing her doctoral studies as part of the BGF Cotutelle double diploma program at PW and Subatech-IMT Atlantique in France.
