Tomasz Skalski, PhD student of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, received a research scholarship from the French Government to write his doctorate also at Angers University in France.
As part of the BGF program, the French Embassy awarded the young scientist a scholarship for a research stay. The positive decision was a result of his previous achievements and modern topics of doctorate, which will concern the use of deep combinatorial methods in modern statistics and Data Science.
The laureate is pleased that he will be able to conduct research under the supervision of outstanding statisticians from Poland and France. He is planning to develop a new research method and work on the most credibility estimators, i.e. a wise prediction method.
Tomasz Skalski was a scholarship holder at Facultat de Matematiques i Estadística, Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya and Erasmus +. He is also a multiple winner of the International Mathematics and Logic Games Championships.
