PhD students and students of the Silesian University of Technology were involved in the implementation of the project to standardize public transport stops. The activities were carried out on behalf of the Metropolitan Transport Authority.

The Metropolitan Transport Authority has carried out the process of standardizing public transport stops in municipalities in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Upper Silesia and Zagłębie. As part of the activities, the stops have been redesigned to look similar, and in addition to be functional, aesthetic and take into account the needs of people with disabilities.

The project was implemented in cooperation with the Silesian University of Technology. Students and doctoral students have developed a special mobile application that allows for faster research. It was used to collect data, documentation, as well as save the data in the system and mark the stops on the map after completion of the work.
