Dr Piotr Dardziński was appointed the secretary of state in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. So far he was the undersecretary of state and he was responsible in the Ministry of Science for innovation and international cooperation.

Piotr Dardziński has been the deputy minister of science since November 2015. In the Ministry he is responsible for EU programs related to research and innovation, computerization of science and higher education as well as international cooperation. He supervises the National Center for Research and Development, the National Academic Exchange Agency, the Information Processing Center – the National Research Institute and the Polish Center for Technology Development PORT.

Dr Dardziński in the years 1997-2002 completed PhD studies at the Jagiellonian University at the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations in the Department of History of Political and Legal Doctrines. He was a scholarship holder at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland.
