PLN 200 million for universities educating future teachers

28.03.2018

The National Center for Research and Development has announced a competition for “Teacher training programs”. The project is financed from the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development and aims to raise the competence of students who intend to become teachers.

Improving the quality of education at all levels of education is one of the conditions for the expansion of our economy. We want the knowledge acquired from kindergarten to the University studies to be practical and useful. That is why we need highly qualified staff – said Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Public and non-public higher education institutions can apply for co-financing. Projects should last from 24 to 60 months. The maximum value of the project depends on the size of the university and it starts from PLN 4 million for high schools educating less than 4 thousand students, up to 12 million for the largest universities, educating over 12,000 students. In total, PLN 200 million was allocated to the competition.

The call for applications starts on April 23 and will last until June 6, 2018.
