Poczta Polska and Warsaw universities to launch joint projects

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) has launched a project called “Methods of simulation and analysis of logistic networks of postal operators”. It is a research and development project co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development under the Intelligent Development Operational Program.

Poczta Polska is conducting research work on a simulation and optimization model for managing logistics processes. The Polish Post is a part of the Science and Research Consortium also including the Warsaw School of Economics and the Warsaw University of Technology.

Such an advanced innovative tool will help us improve the efficiency of logistics management and, as a result, better achieve our strategic goals – said Andrzej Bodziony, vice president of the management board of Poczta Polska, responsible for logistics.

The tool provided as part of the project will enable analysis of the provided services, acquiring new customers, optimizing the handling of parcel streams, investment opportunities and threats to the smooth operation of logistics.
