01.02.2018

In the latest ranking of the most innovative countries in the world by the Bloomberg Innovation Index, Poland advanced by one position and currently is 21st, while in 2016, it was still in the 22rd position. In terms of innovations, Poland is the fastest growing country in Central and Eastern Europe. It is ahead of Canada, New Zealand, Iceland, Spain, Greece and Russia.

Next year Poland is to occupy an even higher position, because the Act on Innovation has entered into force. According to its provisions, the government targets to spend 1.7% of GDP on research and development (R & D) by 2020. Therefore, Poland may soon become a global symbol of innovation.
