Poland joins the European Molecular Biology Laboratory

Poland became the 26th Member State of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).

EMBL is an innovative and interdisciplinary, world-leading research organization related to biology. Research carried out in its structures is carried out by over 80 research groups representing a full cross-section of issues related to molecular biology. An international research institution founded in 1974 employs over 1,700 employees of many nationalities and specialties.

Thanks to its membership, Poland was granted the right to designate two delegates with full voting rights at EMBL. Our researchers will be able to use advanced and state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment, and young scientists will be able to use programs designed for PhD students and doctors starting their careers.
