The Warsaw University of Technology Investment Factory, Poland’s first venture capital fund established by a public university, the Warsaw University of Technology, with the participation of an experienced team of experts, has begun its activities. The venture is distinguished by access to over 200 technology experts, world-class research teams and unique laboratory equipment.

“This experiment, as it must be admitted that it is a scientific and business experiment, will certainly be a success”, said Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Maria Mrówczyńska during the ceremony. As she emphasised, the venture may be an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between science and business and will allow universities and academics to implement innovative ventures into the economic sector.

The aim of the fund is to invest in deep-tech companies created by teams originating from the Warsaw University of Technology and other Polish universities.
