Polish Academy of Science to hold “Meetings with astronomy” in Warsaw

Lecture by Marzena Śniegowska from the Astronomical Center Nicolaus Copernicus (CAMK) of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) entitled “How to study the chemical composition of objects in the Universe?” initiated the program “Meetings with astronomy”.

The program events will take place every Monday at 18 in Warsaw at ul. Bartycka 18. Its organizer is CAMK PAN.

On March 2, the lecture “Different faces of neutron stars” will be delivered by Agnieszka Majczyna from the National Center for Nuclear Research. On March 9, Agnieszka Janiuk from the Center for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences will talk about “dancing black holes”.

Next March lectures will be given by employees of CAMK PAN; on March 16 Paweł Ciecieląg with “Hitchhiking through the Universe”, on March 23 Marek Sarna with “Polish UV satellite system – UVSat” and on March 30 Filip Morawski will deliver the topic “Artificial intelligence in astrophysics”.
