15.03.2021

When will the brain be created in the laboratory? How do new technologies affect this organ? Is loneliness a new civilization disease? These questions will be answered by scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) during the Online Brain Week, which will last from March 15 to 20. The event is part of the European Brain Day, which will be held on March 18.

In Warsaw, the theme of this year’s lectures organized by the Marcel Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology PAN and the Nencki Foundation will be civilization diseases of the brain.

In Krakow the event will be held under the slogan “Let’s talk about the brain”. Its organizers include the Jerzy Maj Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, the Polish Society of Naturalists Copernicus and the Jagiellonian University.

In Poznań, the local branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences are inviting participants to watch the lectures online.
