Polish Academy of Sciences launches the International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines

President of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) Prof. Jerzy Duszyński established a new International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The aim of the institute will be to conduct scientific research, research and development works and training in the field of biological, chemical, medical, biotechnological, pharmacological and related sciences, and to disseminate the results of these studies. The Institute was launched on December 14, 2020.

The establishment of the institute was possible thanks to the agreement between the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Medical University of Göttingen and the agreement between the Polish Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw concluded on September 30, 2020.

The president of the Polish Academy of Sciences appointed Prof. Agnieszka Chacińska as director of the institute. According to the signed agreement, the Medical University of Göttingen will offer advice and support by participating in the work of the Institute’s Scientific Council.
