During the jubilee 70th International Astronautical Congress in Washington, representatives of the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) and the American National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) signed an agreement on cooperation in space exploration.

Over the past 40 years, more than 80 solutions designed and constructed by Polish scientists and engineers have been used in various international space missions, and seven years of membership in the European Space Agency (ESA) have contributed to the dynamic development of the Polish space sector including over 350 Polish companies.

Polish companies and research and development institutes cooperate with ESA and other national agencies, including NASA, DLR, JAXA and CNSA. The significant achievements of Polish scientists include sensors and probes as well as other components of Mars Curiosity and NASA InSight landers.
