The National Science Center has signed an agreement with the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). The result of the cooperation will be a bilateral competition for Polish-Austrian research projects in the field of basic research.

As part of the new competition, Polish-Austrian research teams will be able to apply for financing research projects in all areas. The announcement of the competition is planned for the last quarter of 2018. Substantive assessment of the applications in the competition will be conducted by the Austrian website.

According to the National Science Center, the agreement signed by the director Zbigniew Błocki and the president of the Austrian agency Klement Tockner is one of the elements of closer cooperation between research funding agencies in the Central Europe region.
