Polish-German projects financed under the National Agency for Academic Exchange

Two projects of scientists from the Nicolaus Copernicus University have received funding from the National Agency for Academic Exchange as part of a program of bilateral exchange of scientists between Poland and Germany.

Thanks to the funding will be implemented the following projects: “Accurate Kohn-Sham methods for large molecules: utilization of a fragment-based optimized effective potential method”, which is the result of cooperation between Prof. Ireneusz Grabowski from the faculty of physics, astronomy and applied computer science, and Prof. Andreas Hesselmann and Andreas Goerling from Lehrstuhl for Physikalische und Theoretische Chemie Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and “New Topological Invariants in Multiparameter Bifurcation Theory”, which is the result of cooperation between Dr Robert Skiba from the mathematics and computer science department and Prof. Nils Waterstraat from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg.
