IIIT-Delhi University and IDEAS NCBR, a research and development centre in the field of artificial intelligence, have started collaborating on research in artificial intelligence and the digital economy. For the Polish institution, this will be the first such collaboration with a university from India.

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) was established on the initiative of the local government in 2008 and has since its inception focused on education in the fields of new technologies, especially the AI sector.

The Indian AI market was worth $9.4 billion in 2022. This is expected to more than double in four years, according to the report’s authors.

The partnership between IDEAS NCBR and IIIT-Delhi will allow both parties to conduct joint research more efficiently. It will also enable the exchange of doctoral students, researchers and staff, as well as joint doctoral education.
