The exchange of experiences, cooperation between Polish and Italian universities, the admission of children from Ukraine to schools, and the situation of students in Polish schools in Italy were the main topics of talks between the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Chernak, and the Minister of Education and Merit of the Republic of Italy, Giuseppe Valditar, held in Krakow.
“It was here in Krakow, at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, that the first university in Poland and the second in this part of Europe was founded. Three hundred and one hundred and fifty years after the universities of Bologna and Padua were founded”, said Minister Czarnek and pointed out that “in Krakow, on the basis of the friendship between Karol Wojtyla and Jerzy Kruger, new Polish-Jewish and Catholic-Jewish relations were born. Krakow is a symbolic city for the whole of Poland and this part of Europe and Europe in general”.
Following the talks, the ministers met with students from the Istituto Istruzione Superiore “GIOVANNI BERTACCHI” in Lecco and the Tadeusz Kosciuszko High School No. 4 in Krakow, who attended a screening of a film in VR technology titled. “A Card from the Uprising”.
