The qualifiers for the 19th Polish Championships in Mathematical and Logical Games have begun. Participants have time until 31 January to solve tasks and send them to the organisers, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In August, the world finals of the International Championships in Logic and Mathematical Games will be held in Wrocław – for the first time ever.

The participants have been tackling puzzles, equations and difficult mathematical questions at the Wrocław university since 1992. The Polish Championships are organised by the Faculty of Mathematics. The competition is traditionally divided into eight age categories: from primary school pupils, secondary school pupils, students, to mathematics professionals. Group winners advance to the world finals.

Polish competitors have been successfully competing in the unofficial mathematical world championships since 1992. Last year from Lausanne, Switzerland, the Poles brought back 4 gold, and 2 silver and bronze medals each.
