The exchange of experience, the development of joint scholarship programmes and internships for the best students are the main areas of future cooperation between Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe -PEJ (Polish Nuclear Plants) and the Warsaw University of Technology (PW).

The agreement was signed by Łukasz Młynarkiewicz, acting president of PEJ, and Professor Krzysztof Zaremba, rector of the Warsaw University of Technology. This is another such agreement by the investor responsible for the construction and subsequent operation of nuclear power plants being built under the Polish Nuclear Power Programme. The aim of PEJ’s cooperation with the PW is to support the process of building human resources for the nuclear industry in Poland.

The agreement between PEJ and PW provides for substantive and research cooperation. It also includes solutions for cooperation in the development and implementation of scholarship programmes, co-organisation of competitions for scientific works or design competitions. Under the agreement, the company-investor and the university undertake to work together on a study programme to enable PW graduates to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to find employment in the nuclear sector.
