Four projects with the participation of Polish research teams have been qualified for funding in the competition organised by the JPND network Understanding the Mechanisms for Non-Pharmacological Interventions. Two of them are coordinated by Polish managers, reports the National Science Centre (NCN).
In this year’s JPND competition, international consortia submitted 92 proposals on the mechanisms and biological background behind non-pharmacological therapies in neurodegenerative diseases. Fourteen winning projects were selected with the aim of adapting a holistic personalised approach to the treatment of these diseases.
All projects with Polish teams were among the five highest-rated projects on the international ranking list. They will receive almost PLN 5.2 million to implement their research.
