Rafał Zapłata, Prof. of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw has published an article on the results of research in the Białowieża Forest.
The publication is dealing with interdisciplinary research, including remote sensing, geoinformatics and archeology in the Białowieża Forest, and discoveries from 2017, when the specialists led by Dr Eng. Krzysztof Stereńczak recognized numerous historic, previously unknown objects – so-called linear structures.
According to the researchers, they are probably the remains of the old field borders etc. extending over large areas of the Białowieża Forest.
