The National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has awarded the second Prof. Walczak internship program. Seventeen Polish scientists and doctors will do internships in such medical centers as Harvard Medical School, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or the National Cancer Institute – National Institutes of Health.
NAWA informs that the internships will last from 3 to 6 months. During their stay in the USA, scholarship holders will take part in the implementation of scientific projects, and will also participate in the daily work of local specialists during diagnosing patients or conducting therapeutic procedures.
In the second program, doctors and scientists of cardiology, oncology, allergology, infectious diseases, as well as in the areas of cardiosurgery, diabetology and psychiatry applied for the internships.
Among the 17 scholars, the jury selected most oncologists (12), two cardiologists and psychiatrists and one diabetologist.
