Researchers from the Rzeszów-based company The Batteries have developed and patented a new method of manufacturing thin-film batteries. The Polish battery is capable of lasting 68 years, assuming that the smartphone is charged once a day.
Experts from The Batteries convince that it only takes eight minutes to charge a phone from 0 to 100%. In addition, the innovative battery of the Polish production is resistant to very different conditions. The temperature range it can withstand ranges from – 40 to 170 degrees Celsius.
The Batteries company is currently in the process of setting up a pilot plant near Rzeszów. Components used by the researchers are being imported from all over the world.
Ultimately, the new factory is expected to have a capacity of 1MW per year. This will enable the company to produce tens of thousands of batteries per year.
