The Gdańsk University of Technology, the University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Warsaw were rated on positions 601-800 in the latest, third Times Higher Education Impact Ranking. It takes into account the implementation of 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the member states of the United Nations.
The ranking includes 1,115 universities from 94 countries.
The Sustainable Development Goals relate primarily to measures for the areas of poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, climate change, peace and social justice.
The University of Manchester came first in the ranking. The next three positions were taken by Australian universities: University of Sydney, RMIT University and La Trobe University.
A total of 12 universities from Poland were classified in the ranking. The highest number of universities in the ranking are presented by Russia (75) and Japan (73).
