In the published 2020/2021 the world university ranking – University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), the highest ranked Polish universities are the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the University of Warsaw (UW).

This year’s ranking included 4,000 universities, including 56 from Poland.

The basis of the methodology of the bibliometric list URAP, are scientific publications – their number and quality. International scientific cooperation is also taken into account. The evaluation is made without the participation of universities of the ranking.

The ranking includes 56 Polish universities: the Jagiellonian University (323 place) and the University of Warsaw (393 place), AGH University of Science and Technology (606), Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań (647), Warsaw University of Technology (658), Wrocław University of Science and Technology (786), Medical University of Warsaw (815), Medical University of Wrocław (820), Wrocław University (875), Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (877), Medical University of Łódź (930), Medical University of Gdańsk (949), Gdańsk University of Technology (964) and University of Silesia (988).

The ranking was headed by Harvard University, University of Toronto, and Stanford University.
