The Design Center in the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia has become the official partner of the New European Bauhaus initiative, which aims to deeply renew Europe by engaging architects, artists, engineers and designers.
As in 1919, when the original Bauhaus was launched, the world is also facing many challenges today, especially in terms of climate. The New European Bauhaus is again giving impetus to positive changes, including the European Green Deal initiative, aimed at achieving climate neutrality by 2050, and the Renovation Wave Strategy to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
In the second half of the year, the European Commission will announce a call for five model locations, where the assumptions of the New European Bauhaus will be tested. Each of the projects is to be created in the spirit of sustainable development, combining technology, culture and art with local conditions.
