The Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN) has positively evaluated the implementation of tasks carried out by the National Science Centre (NCN) and approved the Report on the activities of the NCN in 2022. Earlier, the document received a positive opinion from the General Council for Science and Higher Education and the Science Policy Committee.

In the NCN competitions in which the call ended in 2022, researchers submitted more than 10,500 applications; nearly 10,000 of them were subjected to substantive evaluation. 2065 projects were selected for funding, including 176 under international initiatives.

On the basis of ongoing agreements concluded with the winners of NCN competitions, a total of nearly 10,200 research projects, internships, scholarships and scientific activities were implemented in 2022.

Almost all (99.9 %) of the earmarked grant – amounting to PLN 1.392 billion – received from the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2022 was transferred to researchers.
