The Polish Accreditation Committee and the Minister of Health have issued positive opinions on the establishment of a medical faculty at the University of Warsaw (UW). The education of future doctors at the UW is planned to start on 1 October 2023.

The curriculum of the medical specialisation at the UW is distinguished by the emphasis placed on the scientific development of students, including through the implementation of teaching based on practical knowledge, direct contact with patients and the application of clinical practice from the beginning of studies, as well as a unique educational element on a national scale, which will be the obligatory participation of each student in at least one scientific and research project in the 6-year educational cycle. 

Another distinctive feature of the medical faculty is the emphasis on the use of new technologies in the training provided. Therefore, education will be based on cooperation and use of the unique and specialised laboratory, teaching and equipment base of other faculties of the UW in both basic, pre-clinical and clinical sciences. Clinical education will be carried out at modern medical facilities in Warsaw.
