Poznan, Katowice and Torun scientists to launch SurVIRval research project – survival factors in coronary crisis conditions

28.04.2020

Scientists from the Universities of Economics in Katowice and Poznań and from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń are implementing the surVIRval research project, which aims to diagnose the survival factors of enterprises in the conditions of coronavirus crisis.

The first part of the project is a survey addressed to business owners and managers. According to preliminary results, the actions most often taken after the introduction of restrictions and reduction of activity include switching suppliers, significant investment reduction, switching to remote work and sending employees on holidays.

The managers are pointing that the greatest extent hampering operations are the limitation or total lack of revenues, loss of financial liquidity and payment gridlocks.

The project was supported by the Entrepreneurship Council of the President of the Republic of Poland. In its next stage, it will develop recommendations, based on the received opinions.
