The Poznań Science and Technology Park (PPNT) is implementing the Urbiofuture project, which aims to increase the competitiveness of the bio-tech industry. The project involves creating new educational programs and increasing research initiatives and projects.

Agriculture, forestry, fisheries, chemical and energy industry need specialists with knowledge and skills. Therefore, changes in educational programs are needed to meet the market requirements and provide educated personnel. For this purpose, cooperation between educational institutions, research institutions and industry is necessary.

The coordinator of the project is Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain), PPNT, Consiglio Nazionale dele Ricerche (Italy), VTT Technical Research Center of Finland Ltd (Finland) Agro Business Park (Denmark), Fundación Corporación Tecnológica de Andalucía and Sustainable Innovations Europe (HIszpania), VITO (Belgium) and IHE Delft Institute (the Netherlands).
