The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center have completed research and development work on the system of supporting the interaction of people with profound and complex intellectual disability, carried out within the INSENSION project.
The project focused on creating an ICT platform that allows people with severe complex intellectual disabilities to use digital applications and services that can improve their quality of life, increase their self-determination and enrich their lives. The research was carried out by an interdisciplinary team of scientists from Poland, Germany, Spain and Slovenia.
Thanks to the system, created as a result of design work, people with a profound and complex intellectual disability gain the opportunity to provide their caregivers with information about their needs by means of short text messages. Users can also turn on their favorite music and control devices in their smart room.
