30.10.2018

Poznan University of Technology signed a letter of intent with the City Hall regarding the creation of the Poznań Energy Cluster. Among the signatories of the agreement are also companies: Veolia, SUEZ Zielona Energia and municipal companies.

The agreement concerns the generation, distribution and trading of energy from renewable sources within the distribution network. In short, the cluster’s task is to create self-sufficient energy circuits. Thanks to the cluster, Poznań will become an energetic model for other Polish metropolises. Establishment of the Poznań Energy Cluster is the next big step in the direction of creating Smart City.

The cluster is a very big challenge for Poznań local government officials as well as municipal enterprises. The implementation of the goals set will benefit all partners, but the Poznan inhabitants will benefit the most from it.
