Poznan University of Technology to receive PLN 6 million for the creation of the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security

Poznan University of Technology has won PLN 6 million for the creation of a Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security. The information about the grant was presented to the university authorities by the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, who was a guest at the plenary meeting of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities. 

Thanks to the research conducted at the centre, it will be possible to build a unique infrastructure for AI and CS and related areas, within which Poland would be a leader in Central and Eastern Europe with the possibility of influencing the whole of Europe, especially the Tri-City area, the Balkans and other regions.

The creation of the centre is also an opportunity to increase the competitiveness of Polish science on the international arena and to popularise and develop artificial intelligence in terms of solving issues in such fields as medicine, security, engineering, economic analysis, industry, commerce, services.
