– This University has always corresponded to the values I felt attached and I was brought up – said President of Poland Andrzej Duda during the inauguration of the academic year at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University (UKSW) in Warsaw.
This year’s celebrations were of an exceptional nature due to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University, founded on the basis of the Academy of Catholic Theology, founded 65 years ago.
The inauguration of the academic year was attended by President of Poland, Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski, parliamentarians, a diplomatic corps headed by the apostolic nuncio Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, representatives of the Polish Bishops’ Conference with the Great Chancellor of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University- Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz, authorities of Warsaw universities, representatives of local authorities, institutions of science and culture.
