42 scientists and one research team of 13 people received the Prime Minister’s Awards including ten scholars from the University of Warsaw and five from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
The prizes of the Prime Minister were established on the initiative of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1994. They are awarded for outstanding scientific or artistic achievements, highly-rated achievements constituting the basis for granting the academic degree of Associated Professor or Associated Professor of Arts, distinguished doctoral dissertations and various scientific and technical achievements.
The winners are selected annually in a competition by the jury chaired in 2019- 2023 period by Prof. Tomasz Giaro from the University of Warsaw.
